Good Morning,
A fresh covering of snow has blanketed the ground and it is enough of the white fluff that it will need tending to. In the mean time I will enjoy a hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Crunch Coffee and wait for daylight to go out and battle the snow.

Last night we watched one of the National Football League playoff games. It was of special interest to us because the team from our state was playing. Excitement behind the team was high and three weeks ago I would have said that this could be the year they play in the super bowl.
But until last night it was all speculation. The game had yet to be played and in the end our team was sent home and will be cleaning out their lockers and waiting to play next season. They did not play very well and there were some glaring examples of poor play. I am not here today to give you my synopsis of the game but to remind everyone that after all is said and done, if they had won not much really changed anyway. The game remains a source of entertainment and has little or no impact on the world.
A win would not have changed the status of covid in our world. A win would not change the fact that I have a neighbor suffering in his home with ALS. There are two countries who are still poised for war. Last night someone was gunned down somewhere. Yes it was a disappointment, but if the tables were turned and the other team lost another city and state would be living with a disappointment. But win or lose they have a wild fire again, burning and destroying land and property.
So you see my friends, it was just a game. If we keep that in perspective and take some of the leftover food from the parties that we had and share those with others, the game would really make a difference, now. Wouldn't it?
So put it in perspective and make the best from days like this and have a loss become a win for someone else.
God bless,
Marty
Marty, as you stated"It was just a game", from my perspective the blessing for me is that of our small Saturday night group no one was missing while preparing to watch it.
