There is a hot cup of Door County Mocha Mint Coffee resting next to me and there is steam rising from it. I think it is hot enough for me.
I have come across some smooth talkers in my day. Some who are so convincing and well spoken that you almost immediately believe what they are saying. These smooth talkers can even make what was immoral to you yesterday, sound moral today.
Satan slithered around and went to tempt Eve just by starting it off with a simple question.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
This slickster just started with a question that was contrary to what was told to Eve by God. He acted with a flare of innocence.
I learned a long time ago, that when something causes me to go against or doubt God's Word the message however crafty, comes from the source of all evil. Thus, not to even be considered. God's wisdom never fails us and His Word is truth. Satan is the father of all lies.
2 Corinthians 11;14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
So be careful, if it sounds to be to good to be true, it probably is and should be checked against God's Word.
