Issues On Top Of Issues 12/11/21

 Good Morning,

I have a hot cup of Door County Jingle Bell Java next to me and two Springer Spaniels at my feet. 

I have been watching the news from my city, surrounding cities, my country and from around the world. We could rename Earth and just plain call it CALAMITY. Topping the list is a virus that seems to be smarter than all of the science on this newly named planet called Calamity. Two countries are just minutes away from all out war. Supply chains are holding Barbie hostage on ships as well as a part for my car. You can order a vehicle and they can't tell you when you will receive it. You might be better off with a horse and buggy, than a vehicle, because fuel prices are holding you hostage in your own city. You don't need to watch boxing anymore, just take a flight and wait for a good fight to break out. The weather is quite ferocious and a home owner needs to have policies, for floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, drought, and oodles more. I won't even mention politics, and all the antics that go with that subject. 

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek Me and find Me when you seek me with all your heart. 

Yet, "Calamity" is still spinning every day and the sun rises and sets  each day. Where am I going with this? Well just take a look at the sunset and sunrise. In the event that takes place every day we see God's glory. Yet in many instances the calamity we see each day is man made. Murder, mayhem, thievery, drug addictions, brutal crimes against one another are all part of a lawless society that does not fear God even though we can see His glory on display. Can calamity cause the sun to rise, the tides to recede, an apple to grow or snow to fall? No it can't. But yet this world is ignoring God's presence. Mind you, not everyone is this foolish to ignore God, but are we? 

There is not enough love, fear and respect for God on this planet Calamity. Friends, draw closer to God and start today. Try to make a change in your part of the world and maybe some love, joy, and peace will spread like a virus around the world. Give yourself a Christmas Present by growing closer to God and point others to Him.

As promised, earlier this month I am posting another photo of our "Christmas House". My wife likes to celebrate Christmas even while showering. She is a little stuck on Snowmen".
