Good Morning,
Dawn came and I rejoiced to be able to write and enjoy a hot cup of Door County Heroes Blend Coffee.
Today I want to keep my blog short and sweet. We lost one of our apple trees to a winter storm this year. Then frost came after the buds were starting to sprout a little and we have now lost 50% of our apple potential. This is disappointing, but we must take the good with the bad. We will still produce as much fruit as we can and possibly plant a new tree later in the fall.
When I watch people struggle through life and listen to some of the reasons why, I often shake my head in despair. They, at some time in their life decided to not produce fruit in their lives. I am talking about spiritual fruit, not apples from a tree. They wallow in self pity not using their gifts to edify God and build up others.
Matthew 7:1520 talks about how you know a tree by the fruit it produces. Good trees produce healthy fruit, and bad trees produce poor fruit.
When you begin to follow the Holy Spirit instead of yourself, your life starts to look like the things above. You bring the fruit of the Spirit with you to every aspect of your life. You walk as Jesus walked.
So as you have Jesus within you. So walk in Him
Have a great day.
Marty
