A Look In The Mirror 5/12/2021

 Good Morning,

A hot mug of Door County Tanzanian Pea Berry Coffee is awaiting me in the kitchen. I can smell it brewing two rooms away. It's time to write.

Have you looked in the mirror in a way that is just not a glancing peek, but a good long look? Have you actually looked long enough to perform a short study on your face? What do you see? For me I see a face that has spent too many hours in the sun. I see an aging face that looks more like my dad did when he approached 80 years old.

Have you ever imagined that your face is really a mirror itself? We are God's mirrors. We have sat at the throne of God in prayer. We were justified through Grace by Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross. We should reflect the glory of the Lord. We have studied God. He has loved us with an unending love.

2 Corinthians 3:18 "And we with our unveiled faces reflecting like mirrors the brightness of the Lord, all grow brighter and brighter as we are turned into the image that we reflect; This is the work of the Lord who is Spirit.

We have witnessed glimpses of the glory of God. Shouldn't we hope to be the mirrors of God, to be used by Him as our call to the work of His Kingdom. What do you reflect? Can others see the reflection of God's love in our faces?

Food for thought,

Marty
