A Walk For A Cause 5/23/2021

Good Morning,

The coffee mug is empty this morning. It will be filled later today with some Door County Black and Tan Coffee. It is time to write.

Proverbs 3:28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it", when you have it with you.

Matthew 7:12 So whatever you would wish others would do for you, do also for them.

Rene and I will be joining my brother and many more folks in a walk/run for Huntington's disease. Our nephew is marrying into a family next year and his future father in law suffers from this disease. Up until a few months ago I never heard of this disease which for now has no cure. His future father in law is also a member of the community where we live. This disease is always fatal. It is a progressive breakdown of the nerve cells of the brain.

Of course we are praying for our new friend and his family. We chose to join this cause because of the relationship and also because it is one within our small city. Rene and I support a few charities and causes such as this. So todays lesson/point is this. Be active in your own community. If there is a house fire and a need for clothing, do what you can to help. If a neighbor needs help keeping up with the snow in the winter do what you can to help.

You can make a difference in the lives of others and you can probably do something for someone today.

Marty
