Advice For Friday With A Recipe 5/21/2021

 Good Morning,

It will be a shorter work day today. I will be visiting a couple of hospitals today for a few hours and then home for the weekend. I just poured some Door County Hazelnut Creme Coffee into a large preheated mug and now it is time to write.

Here's a few Bible verses to help you make this a great day.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Colossians 3:12 Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Micah 6:8 The Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires you to do; to do what is right, to love mercy and walk humbly with your God.

Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

Proverbs 3:6 God will direct your steps.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, renew a loyal spirit within me.

This blog was simple to write. I let God do all the talking today. Here within , is a message for you today!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 Walleye Fillets about 8 ounces total
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • sprinkle freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup fresh minced herbs parsley, basil, oregano
  • 1 lemon or 2-3 limes juiced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil avocado oil, or melted butter or ghee

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Run your finger down the sides of your walleye fillets, checking for bones. Remove any with needle nose pliers (once you find one they should all be in a line and relatively easy to find).
  2. Rinse fillets and pat dry. Place on a plate or cutting board.
  3. Sprinkle both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
  4. In a bowl or on a small plate, combine smoked paprika, minced herbs, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  5. Rub herb mixture evenly into both sides of each fillet.
  6. Allow herb mixture to sit on the fillet while the grill pre-heats.
  7. Preheat grill to medium-high heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Once hot, gently place fish filets over heat and cook for 5-7 minutes per side.
  9. If sides start to brown but fish is still not cooked through, move to indirect heat (not directly over the burners).
  10. Remove onto a clean plate, sprinkle with additional salt if needed, and enjoy!
