Greater Is He That Is In Me 3/27/2021

 Good Morning,

It has been a long time since I filled a mug with Door County Chocolate Cherry Coffee, too long. Today is the day to bring back one of my favorite flavors.

It's is very quiet here as I write today. Our youngest dog has been off to hunting training camp. He has been doing well in the field, but needs that extra tune up to be on the road to getting a little more consistent. The older Springer Spaniel has been moping around the house for the last two weeks. I think he misses his buddy. Tomorrow we will be back to the morning family circus.

I want to encourage those today who are going through some type of personal struggle kicking a bad habit. Friends, you have had it pointed out to you by others or the Holy Spirit that you have an issue that needs to be gone, vanished, banned, or put under now and forever. You are hoping, praying, fighting, and struggling to win. The battle is real and it is yours. You see daylight at the end of the tunnel and you are sprinting toward the finish line. Then along comes temptation and you slip and fall back into the habit. You feel defeated, demoralized and most of all you want to give up. You wonder why this happened. First off, the habit is your weak spot. Satan knows it and attacks you there. He doesn't hit where you are strongest. A boxer always goes for the weak spot. Show him a flabby belly and guess where you will get hit. The weakest spot on you. Protect that weak spot with more prayer and some type of accountability. Have someone in your corner who can watch out for you and keep you honest and true to your fight. Have others pray for you and with you.

Get back up, brush yourself off and face that fight. Keep moving forward. Above all, know Who you belong to and He is there fighting for you and with you.  Know that because He lives you can face today and tomorrow and the victory is yours if you hang on to God. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater than He who is in you, than he who is in the world!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

So whatever the battle is, the victory is right around the corner when you see the temptation to lose is getting more vicious. Satan fights hardest at the victory line.

God bless. Fight the good fight.

Marty
