When Duty Calls. What Do You Say? 2/1/2020

Good Morning,

I was up and out of the door very early this morning and had to come back to my writing. I did however have time for a large cup of Door County Spicy Nutcracker Coffee. So let's talk about arguing with God.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth

Moses actually argued with God and I think we also do that from time to time. When God called on Moses to lead the captive Hebrews out of bondage in Egypt, He wasn't kidding. Moses however for whatever reason did not want to cooperate and started by verbally disqualifying himself in Exodus Chapter 3.

Now here is where we do the same thing when God asks us to do something for His Kingdom. We build up a garbage heap of excuses like, "I am not qualified", "I don't ave the time." "I will need more than You are providing as far as help goes."

Do you see how silly this is? God is the Creator of  all things big and small. This includes us. So if anyone knows us and our capabilities it is God. He calls us and then qualifies us through the Holy Spirit. We are incapable of failure if we follow His lead. So when we argue with God we are actually committing idolatry by thinking we can reason with an all knowing, infinite God. We are never on the same level of a playing field with a God who wired us and controls our next breath.  So arguing with God is a waste of time. Instead of wasting time we should all say yes to His will and move from assignment to assignment.

It makes for an exciting life and less frustration.
