Good Morning,
I am enjoying a large mug of Door County Churro Coffee. I have a lunch packed with a Thermos filled with coffee as I head out to hunt and possibly harvest a turkey.
Let's talk puppies for a minute here. My wife and I have had dogs as pets or family members for around 37 years. We learned very early after bringing home our first dog (Walter) that puppies do not potty train themselves and that house training isn't easy. I also learned that puppies will poop at will and it is best to leave lights on when you walk through your house at night. Thus avoiding the poop land mines that you could walk through. I mention turning lights on because once you step into the "mined area", and squash a puppy surprise, it is easily spread everywhere you walk. You could say "you put your foot in where it shouldn't go".
Here's the lesson. Life can bring family squabbles or disagreements between friends. You are possibly not really involved in the mess, but you get lured in to give your opinion. Or one side wants you to see it their way. Once you start doing that "You put your foot into it" .
If you are a person of prayer, you should have prayed to see if you really need to be a part of the squabble. It could be that God has called you to be the peacemaker in the mess. That is good! But now for sure you need to be praying for wisdom and what to say. You could make things worse by just saying the wrong things at the wrong time. Make sure He called you to get involved.
In some cases, God doesn't call you to do anything. It is at that time for you to drink a big glass of shut up juice and pray instead of making it worse. Disagreements and squabbles can spread if others "step into it" uninvited.
Be careful that you do not jump into an arena of trouble if God did not send you. Food for thought.
Marty
