Good Morning.
I set up the coffee maker to brew a hot pot of Door County Blueberry Coffee and it fired up right on time . It is time to write.
Psalm 145:14. The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who fall down.
Out youngest dog Leo has been staying at a kennel about 90 minutes away. He is working on some fine points for a hunt test that he is entered in. So we farmed him out for some professional help. My wife and I went to see him yesterday and spend some time with him. We watched as the trainer showed us some of the techniques and finer points that Leo has been working on. He did an amazing job until as he was holding to be released to retrieve a downed bird, a big feather from the bird that was shot drifted right in front of his face. He took his eyes off of the mark where the downed bird had landed. Leo was confused and knew that he blew it. With a couple hand directions Leo did find the bird and brought it back to hand.
The lesson for today is this. When we take our eye off of the mark we can easily lose our way. Leo knew he needed help. A whistle from the master and he sat, and looked back. The hand signals were given and he succeeded after the failure. This applies to us also. When we take our eye off of God and begin to wander from the path, we can stop, look back and wait for the Master to redirect our paths. God's mighty hand and gentle correction is all we need to right the way. Our duty is to desire to please Him and respond to the correction.
Leo was praised after he completed the rest of the training session and you could just tell that he was living for that praise.
Look up today and follow the Divine Trainer.
Marty
