Good Morning,
I have a busy weekend ahead and I am looking forward to seeing the outcomes from some labor of love. I have next to me a hot cup of Door County Caramel Apple Coffee and a little extra ambition.
Romans 12:10 Love on another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
Our local NBA basketball team the Milwaukee Bucks won the championship earlier this year. I watched the team play on television and to the best of my recollection when the ball was in play, there were always 5 players on the floor. They did not go out there with one player and expect to win the trophy.
As a team of two or ten, we must remind ourselves that we are a team in our homes. When one hurts we all should hurt. In the basketball game they pass around the ball and look for the best shot to take. Every player on the floor is important. A team that works unselfishly to put others first in being a winning team always succeeds. Everyone involved in our personal team needs to sacrifice at times for the good of the team. Isolating ourselves from the team for whatever reason, leaves one spoke out of the wheel of success and the wheel begins to wobble. Smaller problems become a bigger deal than they should be and conflict arises. The blame game begins and once that happens the defense of self starts and the old devil has the home on the rocks tilted for a landslide.
Being a team that wins has no room for pettiness, selfishness and spite. When the team is on a losing streak, each member should go back and take note of what they have done to contribute to the losses. This means taking stock of your own deficiencies and making corrections that are best for the team.
Have a great day.
Marty
