When Love Is Difficult 7/21/2020

Good Morning,

I am looking forward to working with a friend today and sharing a cup of Door County Blackberry Shortbread Coffee. I just finished praying and now it is time to write.

1 John 4: 11-14 Dear Friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God: but if we love one another, God lives in us, and His love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in Him and He in us: He has given us His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

Let's face it. Not all people are easy to love, And if the truth were known I'll bet that some husbands and wives might love each other, but at times they really don't like each other.  So with being real today I will admit that I can be difficult and so at times "hard to love".

I am sure my wife just said "AMEN" .  Friends, then there are those who just are not easy to love and they don't bring the best out  of you. They open their mouth and your stomach wants to hurl. Or you just want to rip their head off and use it for a bowling ball. God tells us to love everyone.

I thought about this and said "Yes Lord, but have you ever seen this yahoo in action? But then without much effort God reminded me of the ministry of Jesus, His Son. Jesus traveled and lived with Judas Iscariot for three years and knew the whole time that Judas would betray Him unto death. Jesus didn't take Judas up on the mountain and toss him off. Jesus fed Judas along with the other thousands of people.

God sent us the Holy spirit to live within us, We have all we need within to help us not only tolerate people, but love them also.

The next time you want to throttle someone, remember Jesus fed Judas.

Marty
