Please Don't Talk To The Lifeguard. 10/10/15

Good Morning,

My Door County Caramel Apple Coffee is still brewing, but the aroma has filled the house, so for now that makes everything alright.

Jeremiah 33:3New King James Version (NKJV)
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Psalm 121:1-8, NIV
I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you – the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore

When I was a child and the summer day was very hot we would find ourselves walking to a  close by named Jackson Park. Milwaukee has many beautiful parks and some were built with large public swimming pools. That was always a great place to cool off and burn up some energy.

For our safety the pool employed several lifeguards who sat in chairs about 6 feet up in the air so they could watch over the pool for anyone in swimming distress. They would often even tell us when we were getting too much sun. It was their job to pay attention to all safety aspects of the pool. There were signs posted asking us not to talk with the life guards except for emergencies. They could not be distracted from their duties.

Our "Ultimate Lifeguard" God in Heaven is just the opposite. He watches over us and is so amazing that He can entertain conversations in prayer from everyone and He still can perform His loving gift of watching each one of us individually. He actually in Jeremiah 33:3 asks us to call out to the Lifeguard so He can show us things.

Today as you swim through life you can know that high up on His throne our Lifeguard has an eye on you.

God bless,

Marty
