This morning is starting early. I am in North Dakota duck hunting today with a group of friends. The smell of wet dogs, the smell of gun powder, the sound of duck calls as well as gun fire will be the order of the day. If I were home the pot would have brewed some Door County Pumpkin Spice Coffee.
It seems funny to write a Biblical Blog and talk about duck season. The point of this note is to say that as much as I love duck hunting I cannot do it all year round. There is a certain time of the year for the season to start and begin. We have to wait for a good thing. It doesn't start early just because we want it to. It ends right on time and you cannot change the date.
Here's the message. We have to wait on God at times. Only He knows when and what He is going to do. But if we wait patiently for Him we can count on Him to answer and provide His way, in His time. Whatever He does or doesn't do is what is best for us. God renews our strength and wills in due time.
Isaiah 40:31New King James Version (NKJV)
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
God Bless,
Marty
