Friendship And Soup 10/14/2015

Good Morning,

The weather here is getting a little more crisp each day. Just the way I like it. The hot Door County German Chocolate Cake Coffee tastes even better when it is cold outside.

1 John 3:17
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

We have this small cooking pot on our shelf in the kitchen. We use it to cook different soups. We call it our friendship pot. When that little pot is simmering a batch of soup, we know that we are blessed to have friends. That particular pot is never used for ourselves. It always is used when we are making soup for someone else. I guess it is a weird custom, but as you look at the picture on the pot you see that the two "Campbell's Kids are happy.  This pot symbolizes delivering a small batch of comfort or happiness to someone we love. This week it was used and today I will deliver the soup to a couple of dear friends. I think we all know someone who could use the gift of soup and friendship right now. You might brighten their day, but in the long run, won't the soup warm your heart more? Bless someone today with your love.

God bless,

Marty
