Let God Rearrange Your Thinking 7/22/2014

Good Morning,

My mug is filled with Door County Peanut Butter Crunch coffee. My heart is filled with contentment today. So it is off to work I go.

Isaiah 55:8-9New Living Translation (NLT)
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

God is at work at all times. His will is to redeem a lost world though His Son Jesus. We often find ourselves involved or called into God's activity. It is at this time if not prior to, that we should have God rearrange our thoughts to align with His, not His thoughts to ours.

In the Lord's Prayer we pray, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. But all too often our prayer states "here is my will Father, please make sure it is Yours too. Prayer is too much speaking and not enough listening most of the time.

All too often our directions are taken from a book, but not from "The Book" the Bible. If we would listen and obey just imagine what God could do with us.

So the next time when someone says "you must read this book, it has the answers", gauge your response on how much they actually quote the Bible, read the Bible and pray for God's will to be done and not their own. Make sure you are not one of these folks yourself. You are just a living example of the Tower of Babel. Seen and heard, but not taken seriously. Worse yet, taken seriously.

His will, not mine or yours today!
Marty
