Lessons From a King. 7/29/2014

Good Morning,

My coffee today is Door County Hawaiian Hazelnut. Feeling a little tropical today. I am cleaning out the summer supply in anticipation of the fall and holiday flavors.

Ecclesiastes 5 New Living Translation (NLT)

Approaching God with Care

[a]As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. [b]Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.
Too much activity gives you restless dreams;

King Solomon inspired by the Holy Spirit imparted some words of wisdom to live by. He advises us to enter our time with God having open ears and a closed mouth. The house of God can be anywhere you are when you decide to approach the throne and listen. Pray? Of course! But don't babble and make promises until you really know what God wants. Sometimes we can be too busy for God and too busy at work as well as too busy at home. When sleep escapes you, there it too much activity in your life on too much activity on your mind.

So as the Scripture said "Let your words be few". I am done.

Have a great day. God bless,
Marty
