Dog Tired Part Two 9/19/2024

 Good Morning,

The morning will not be arriving until a little later. I am enjoying a hot mug of Door County Pumpkin Spice Coffee and it is time to write.

Using the title "Dog Tired" for two days straight is a rarity for me, but here we go. Going back to the expression of being as tired as a dog makes me wonder why we are so tired. Could it be that people are so tired from the fact that they growl all day long about things and at others? It takes a lot of  effort to snarl at others and situations that come along within the day that we have been given. It takes energy to be unapproachable. Barking orders and insults all day long has to be tiring. Being irritated with someone requires a blood pressure surge. Growling at others makes us keep a heightened awareness of others coming our way who want to growl at us first. Growling at others often gets a response that is agitated in return. This makes us expend energy in defense of our ugliness.

Proverbs 12:1 NIV A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word sirs up anger.

So if you find yourself "Dog Tired" all the time, you just might want to turn the growling down! Strive to be a happy puppy!

Marty
