Good Morning,
I am abstaining from coffee today as part of a little experiment to see if not drinking coffee will help my surgically repaired mouth to heal. I will let you know tomorrow.
Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those that love it will eat its fruit.
If I were to paraphrase this passage it would go something like this. The tongue or your speech, can bring life or death, those who love to talk will reap it's consequences.
Let's examine some impact and consequences of your tongue. remember you are known for what you say.
1. Talk mean you get meanness in return.
2. Talk down to people and people will talk down to you.
3. Talk foolishly and no one will take you seriously.
4. Spread lies with your mouth and people will lie about you.
5. Cause division with your mouth and there will be division in your home.
6. Speak your mind and it might prove you are mindless.
The choice you make with your tongue can kill relationships, reputations, and trust. The right words bring life to yourself and others. Choose to bring life today and don't kill others with your mouth. Be careful not to commit verbal suicide for yourself.
