Look Beyond The Target 8/27/2015

Good Afternoon,

I apologize for not writing sooner today. Hospital duty called at midnight last night and I did not have time to write to all of you this morning,  My coffee was "hospital brand" this morning. "No comment".

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

When people are taught about gun safety while hunting, they are reminded to always look beyond the intended target for anything that could be hurt or damaged on the other side. There could be something beyond the target that you do not immediately see. This could be fatal.

Words work the same way. Our mouth goes into gear and then something that wasn't intended comes out and has a terrible impact on an unseen bystander or innocent party. The immediate impact might not be too bad, but the long term damage can last for years.

We need to think before we speak, especially when angry. The collateral damage from not thinking ahead can be devastating.

Let the Holy Spirit help you control your tongue. The life saved, might be yours.

God bless,

Marty
