Good Morning,
I have just poured a hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Crunch Coffee and it is time to write.
Today in America we celebrate a holiday known as Labor Day. It is a day to celebrate the social and economic achievements of the American worker. Most workers have not working today and receive a paid day off. But there are many who will still be working today, because their profession calls for service 24/7.
Luke 10:7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give. for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
I entered the work force with a my first real job other than lawn mowing or snow removal at the age of 14. I am 66 years now and am semi-retired. I will be working tomorrow. I learned a long time ago that nothing comes easy and you are responsible for you. Later in life you might be responsible for a family also.
So for today, if you are a worker who gets a paycheck, learn to be thankful for your job. Pray for your employer. Show up on time and get to work. You should earn a wage for the time you put in. Give to your employer the time you are paid for and what you have agreed to. Be a worker worthy of your hire.
Try to save some money if at all possible and spend wisely. And today as we are thankful for work, know that whatever you do as a vocation is appreciated. Be well my friends and keep the faith.
Marty
