Good Morning,
Monday arrived no matter how hard I tried to discourage it from waking me up. So I am content to have a job to go to and a to have a hot cup of Door County Caramel Apple Coffee to drink.
We all have been gifted with talents and abilities. In my studies of Scripture, I am keenly aware of our desires to tell others about the good things we do with our talents and abilities. In other words we like to promote our gifts as something we did and feel it is worthy to brag about. This is not a life of humility. It is far from it. We must remember that every talent or ability was gifted to us by God and He should get the credit for what we do. We should never be caught pumping ourselves up before others.
Now if someone wants to compliment us on something we did with our talents and abilities, we should say thank you and then add "God is good" or " He gets all the praise and glory".
Even better, let's go to the Lord in humbleness and thank Him for using us in His will.
Let Him if he so desires to, "Lift us up".
James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
Without Him, we are nothing.
Food for thought?
Marty
