How To Understand The Bible Part Two. 1/10/16

Good Morning.,

Yesterday was a great day guiding for pheasants and enjoying the company of some awesome hunters. I thought I would begin my day with some Door County Country Morning Blend Coffee and my Bible. Then it's on the road for day two of the great pheasant chase.

Last year I was able to capture a picture of a bald eagle in flight. I remember thinking to myself and saying what an experience it was to see the eagle that close and how cool it would be able to soar like an eagle.

What an experience that would be to be able to fly and soar. Many people are content with just plodding along in their personal walk with God. They read their Bible daily and never really experience the thrill of it, and they lack the ability to understand what they are reading. They go through life like a wart hog who we know will never fly. They run around and never really accomplish anything for God. They are content with being saved and really do not experience love, peace, joy correction or instruction when they read God's Word.

Perhaps they forget to pray before they sit down to read. The prayer would be a time to clean out any sin that could hinder your learning, and then to ask God to enlighten your reading. Ask for guidance and to be able to accept what is written and to be able to apply His will to your life.

James 1:5New International Version (NIV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

PRAYER is a key to growing in the Word.

Have a great day, Read on!
