Good Morning,
I can hear the coffee perking away in the kitchen. I chose some Door County Caramel Apple to wake me up this morning.
I would like to talk about marriage this morning. I have it on my mind today. Does marriage really have to be different today than it was years ago? Does it have to be different than what God intended it to be? No. But it is a choice. Unfortunately the world is making the wrong choices.
Ephesians 5:25, 28, 33, New King James Version (NKJV)
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
We are living in a time where humanity has forgotten God's plan for marriage. The world has redefined it's meaning because the world has lost it's way. The world has decided to ignore and blatantly defy God's word. The break up of homes is just common place and people don't even bat an eye when a family goes under.
We can still have strong marriages, but we must go back to the basics and want marriages defined clearly by God's word. We must want to practice God's principles for marriage.
Let us all commit to working on our marriages in the light of God's word.
God bless,
Marty
