It is Saturday and I am not duck hunting. How strange is that? Taking the day off to rest my legs and get some much needed yard work completed. Tomorrow will be a new day and the shot gun will be out, the dog at my side and a good friend with me. My coffee sitting on the desk is Door County Pumpkin Spice. The weather is cold and cloudy. The latest report from some of my friends hunting Lake Michigan is that I should have been there. Oh well! In the kitchen is a pot of potato soup simmering for supper. This day has started well.
As much as a pot of potato soup is comfort food for Rene and I, Psalm 107 is comfort for my soul. I turn to it when I am anxious for loved ones, family or friends. It warms my heart and helps me to worry less about situations they are in. It reminds me to pray for them and know that my prayers are heard. Psalm 107 also reminds me at every turn in the road to be thankful. I have attached Psalm 107 in it's entirety below. Might I suggest that you print this one and place it where you will be reminded to read it when your heart becomes heavy for others and sleep escapes you. Mark it in your Bible as a place of refuge, strength and comfort.

Thanksgiving to the Lord for His Great Works of Deliverance
PSALM 107
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
3 And gathered out of the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.
