Good Morning,
I am happy it is Wednesday and thankful for another day of life. My coffee this morning is Door County German Chocolate Cake. Waiting on the arrival of the fall flavors. I am trying to decide what one will be brewed first.
Yesterday as I drove to work it was rather dark outside. The sun really did not appear through the clouds all day. So my morning commute was in need of the headlights as I drove. The highway that I travel to work on is undergoing repairs which includes repairing highway lights. The highway lights are still up and will be repaired soon. What stood out to me in the dark of the morning were the lights that were still working and the others in the line of lights that had burned out. The working lights seemed to be brighter especially when they hung next to one that was burned out. The spent lights seemed to be surrounded by light but yet no light was emitted by them. They need some repairs. they need help.
Life can be like that. There are many people who's light shines bright all the time. They at times, shine so bright that they illuminate the way for others but are so bright that they cannot see the others next to them where the light has blown out. They are concerned with always shining. What needs to be done is for those who shine to aim their light in a direction that helps repairs to be done for the person who needs their lamp lit.
They need to direct their purpose from shining and being noticed to helping another to rise above their condition or circumstances and bringing forth the glorious shine that only Jesus Christ lights from within a soul.
Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Don' pass by a light that is out. It might just need to be plugged back in.
God bless,
Marty
