Good Morning,
My day is starting with a big cup of Door County Apple Cobbler Coffee. Yes! My shipment of their fall flavors arrived yesterday. This is the best time of the year!!
Last night my wife and I took in our first high school football game of the year. Our nephew plays for one of the local city teams. The air was electrified with excitement as both teams ran on to the field. Who would win tonight? How would the season go? It was a great game and it was fought right to the end with only one point separating the winning team from the losing team. The final score stayed that way with difference of one point. The losing team had a chance to tie the game but decided to go for the win by attempting a two point touch down conversion after a score. The other team dug in and stopped the attempt. Game over, loss by one.
Today I am sure that their are many people second guessing the coach's decision to go that route. Why not tie and force overtime?
Who knows what would have happened in overtime? But the game is over, there isn't a do over or another play to be had.
Sometimes life itself can be like that. We are forced to make a decision and then live with the consequences. But the one choice we can always make in our daily walk is to follow God in all things. That choice is never wrong. You never need a do over or another play. God is always the right choice. We find the answers to the other choices in life once we are following God in His word the Bible.
Psalm 119:105King James Version (KJV)
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Simple message today. Make it a simple day.
God Bless,
Marty
