My Saturday is going to be a busy one. I have to go into work for a little while and then run errands for our church picnic tomorrow. My coffee this fine morning is Door County Cinnamon Hazelnut.
I saw a bumper sticker that said this. "Your companions are like the buttons on an elevator. They will either take you up or bring you down."
Proverbs 13:20
He that walks with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.I think that many adults have learned this lesson the hard way. Some of the friends we chose to be close with were not always the best for us. Although we are all responsible for the choices we make, our friends often influence our decisions.
Those of you who still have influence over a teen or child need to remember this verse. So you think that this was meant for the teens? Wrong. It is meant for you. Who are you when you are with your friends? Who does your kid see? Remember your life is a parade that they are watching. They justify what they do be your life. Be careful, even at your age you need to choose your friends wisely. Do your friends bring you up to Godly standards? Or do they help bring you back to the worldly standards of the OLD Devil himself?
