Good Morning,
My day began with prayer and and a hot cup of Door County Cherry Creme Coffee. The dogs are content after being fed. It is time to write.
1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength. Seek His presence continually.
The sun is rising in the East and it is starting to shine through the second story window where I am sitting. I am celebrating two days of sunshine in a row. It seems like we have been living under the clouds and rain for quite some time now.
I have noticed that very often I will find both dogs sleeping on the carpet in this same room when the direct sunlight shines trough the window at the proper angle. They like sleeping in the warmth of the sunshine and as the sun moves to the West side of the house, you can find them there soaking up some more sunshine from a western window. They are at peace, content, and obviously without a care in the world.
I will make an attempt to use this analogy in support of my thoughts. As the dogs enjoy the sunshine and the warmth it brings we also should enjoy time spent with Jesus, The Light of t The World. Some time spent in solitude, with prayer , and readings from Scripture is actually soothing to the soul and a comfort to a weary body. We spend time in the Son. Or demeanor changes when we have absorbed this time. Time with the Son often tenderizes a heart that is bearing the load of strife, anger and confusion. The time spent roots out the wrong desires in life and sets us on the path of living with purpose and harmony. Our two dogs seek the sun and and move when it moves. We also should be seeking time with Jesus as our day starts and as it progresses.
Have a Son filled day and chase away the clouds of life.
Marty
