Good Morning,
I am looking at my mug of Door County Autumn Spice Coffee and I am letting it steam in front of me for a little bit.
I am sure I am not the only one who asks myself, "Why do I do what I do not want to do.
Romans 7:15 NIV I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate I do.
There are just times when temptation gets to all of us and something we desire not to do, we go ahead and do it. We then hang our head in shame and ask ourselves why did I do that? We did exactly what we did not want to do.
I find that when I fail it is because of two things. 1. I am not praying enough. 2. I am not immersed in my Bible or audio messages from preachers of old. A healthy diet of prayer and the Word, tends to keep this boy out of trouble.
I wouldn't walk a dark road without a guiding light. And if I did travel without a plan or a lamp I could end up in a deep, muddy, ditch.
Psalm 119:105 NKJV Your world is a lamp to my feet, a light to my path.
Proverbs 3:5 NKJV trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding.
Do you have one foot on the highway and one in the ditch?
Food for thought!
Marty
