Good Morning,
This day began some time ago with a hot cup of Door County Candy Cane Coffee and prayer.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that he exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
I have walked through, walked around, paddled and motored across plenty of lake bays or rivers to know one thing for sure. In order to get to the other side you must leave the comfort of where you are and venture across or around the area.
Nothing ever happens in moving along without leaving the shore you have grown comfortable with. For instance if you want to forgive someone or be forgiven, you must make a move toward forgiveness.
If you desire to be closer to God all you have to do is to move toward Him trusting Him and at times admitting your own faults. We don't always know His master plan. The ability to move toward comes with trust in Him.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
In some instances we are afraid to leave the shore and are held there by two things that are not all that good for us. Anger is one thing that leaves you tied to the shore. Pride is another. Add the two together and you have the anchor of bitterness. The bitterness keeps us from leaving the shore for forgiveness, peace, and a closer relationship with God.
What's keeping you from humbling yourself before God and leaving the shore of fear, anger and bitterness?
James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Don't be double minded.
God bless,
Marty
Thank you Marty
