Good Morning.
My day began with prayer and a hot cup of Door County Mocha Mint Coffee. It is an early start for me.
My blog often contains pictures of my two hunting dogs Leo and Gibbs. A few weeks ago while giving the youngest one a bath (Leo) I noticed a large internal mass in his neck. It hadn't been there three days before that, while I was cleaning him up. It took a trip to the veterinarian where a plan of medication was tried for the last 3 weeks. The mass shrunk but is still there and about golf ball size. Our veterinarian has advised that it be removed, so surgery is in order today. In about an hour I will head to the office to drop Leo off and place him in very capable hands. The future will be known later.
My point for today is this. Once a person decides to bring home an animal and make them part of the family, it is just that, they are part of your family. You have a responsibility to do your best to feed and nurture that animal to the best of your ability. Friends, that is Biblical.
Proverbs 12:10 Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
Proverbs 27:3 Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds.
Food for thought!
Marty
