A couple of days ago I asked my wife Rene what she would like for breakfast. I was in the mood to make whatever she wanted. I was surprised however that she responded with "Just two pancakes please." I was anticipating a an answer of "I have a breakfast bar already." It had been a long time since I hauled out the griddle and made pancakes for us. It did not take too long to get the process started and very soon the pancakes were done and the syrup was being poured.
My point for the day is this. Now and then it is nice to ask someone what they would like and then make that small wish come true for them. It's amazing, the power we have to turn a sleepy face into a smile. A small act of kindness can change the expression on a face ever so easily.
My challenge for all of us is to watch for a moment when with just a simple act performed by you can change the mood, facial expression, and outlook for someone today!
