Good Morning,
I just sat down at my desk with a hot cup of Door County Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend Coffee and it is time to write.
Matthew 12:30 Whoever is not with Me, is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters.
2 Thessalonians 1:19 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might
I am reading a book that hopefully we will study in our Men's Bible study next fall. During my preview of the book for the study Matthew 12:30 is quoted heavily.
I took some time to ponder the thought that if we are not with God, we are His enemies. That is a powerful statement and one I know applied to me prior to 1981. This applies to both the casual church goer and the staunch rebel who has no use for God. I see the good and great things God does for me and others and how much He loves us, that I shudder at the thought of being called His enemy. There is no good outcome of living a life without God.
I write this to close out the week and as we are just a few weeks from Easter I hope that many will take to heart this statement and seek God while you still can. If you are one who attends church at Easter and Christmas, consider giving your heart to God and follow Him daily. For the next few days we will talk about joining the family of God. But for today, think about it. Who really wants to be against God?
God bless,
Marty
