Good Morning/
I just poured myself a large, very hot mug of Door County Blackberry Shortcake Coffee and now it is time to write.
I don't like to copy articles or paste from work books. But i need to share this a give the credit to John Snyder from his book "Behold Your God" The Weight Of Majesty.
He writes. "The bedrock foundation that God has provided for every follower of Christ is clearly portrayed at the end of Romans 8. This passage might be described as a series of questions that the love of God asks and answers for the Christian."
Romans 8:31-39
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, Who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, "For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered." But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John Snyder writes " These verses contain the questions that all Christians ask when they see how often they fail to live a Godward life, how often they revert back to selfishness, pride, and unbelief. God has asked these questions for you in Romans 8 and He has provided you with the answers, which are fundamentally tied to His love."
Friends, after reading this passage I found myself studying, mining and searching for more on God's love. I don't believe I will ever get to the end of that search in this life.
Despite anything you are going through and no matter what you feel. You are loved by God Who's love we cannot even fathom. It is boundless and unable to be interrupted.
This is a piece of Scripture you should underline in your bible. You just landed on Bedrock.
Marty
God's love, I sometimes look at my life, it's a wonder that God loves me, that He gave His Son for me.
