The Key To Your Heart 11/21/2016

Good Morning,

The old Door County Inn Keepers Blend Coffee is filling the house with an aroma worth waking up to.

I like to putter and putsz around. I don't have a lot of talent but Rene has an eye for different things and with her ideas and directions I can usually finish her projects. It might take forever, but eventually they get done.

In the little project above I repurposed a vintage piece of wood and added an antique door knob. Notice there isn't any real working lock. A key is useless.

The wood is hard and a key is not going anywhere. Friends, there are a lot of people who have hardened their hearts and do not let love enter. The key to their heart has nothing to unlock. Bitterness or hurt closed the entry and now their hearts are so hard that they forgot what love feels like. They have hearts so hard that like my project above the key is not allowed in.

Jesus desires to open hearts with the love of a Shepherd who sacrificed His own body, blood and life to show just how much He loves us. Once we accept His love and forgiveness of our sins we are open to the healing of our hearts and he asks us to love others as He loves us. We are to love with an open mind, open heart, unconditionally as Jesus loves us.

John 13:34-35New International Version (NIV)
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Jesus holds the key to your heart and He wants to open it today. Won't you let Him come in? Learn to love again.

Marty
