Gibberish. 11/28/16

Good Morning,

Door County Black Velvet Coffee is steaming and swirling into my mug. The simple joys of a good cup of coffee!

I have never been able to decipher the language of toddlers.  Many parents can listen to the gibberish of their children and then know exactly what they were saying. This talent as never made this body it's home. I can look right at the little code talkers and not have a clue as to what they are saying. It does drive me nuts.

It is the same way with adults. Many adults are long on promises and short on results. It's the same way for me. I listen to people and their promises. But when they are handing me a lie, they are  usually lying again. When we say one thing and do another it is a lie and  cannot be called any other thing.

I have become aware of people who habitually lie use circumstances as easy excuses for perpetuating more lies. Sooner or later their lives become such an entangled web of deceit that they, and everyone else become aware of their life being one big mistruth. Listening to them is like listening to a babbling toddler. Lot's of words are coming out of their mouth but you can't tell what the real story is. Very soon they are written off as not being trustworthy.

For them one simple truth has either never been taught or it has been forgotten.

Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

It is a fortunate thing that this too can be fixed. It is just a change of heart that needs to take place and then go on in truth. The world  can be forgiving and usually is. It's their own hearts that tear them up on the inside. They soon believe Satan and his teachings. They believe there is no hope, when there really is.

If you know someone like this. Listen at least one more time and then tell them they need a life change and that change is a relationship with Jesus Christ. You have just told them the truth.

Marty
