Falling Down The Stairs 12/3/2014

Good Morning,

I am looking at my cup wishing I had more time to slowly enjoy this tasty Door County Cherry Crème Coffee today. But soon I will be headed off to work and whatever adventure the day brings.

Over the last few days it seems as if people who I love are just being bombarded with all kinds of ugly things. One dear friend fell down her basement stairs and broke a few bones. One dear family will soon be homeless and is in need of shelter in another city. One good buddy starts his chemotherapy Friday. Another family was riddled with an illness that gave them aches and fevers. I have two older relatives that has me concerned for their health.  The list goes on and on.

It is times like these that can become overwhelming for those going through these miseries. Yet it is times like these that lead us to our knees in prayer for those we love.

Today won't you open your hearts to pray for others in need of healing, safety or shelter? Consider fasting in prayer for those you love.

James 5:14-16

Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Ezra 8:23
So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty

God bless. Think of others first today.

Marty
