Much Needed Rest 3/23/14

Good Evening,

I haven't forgotten to write. I took a couple days away to enjoy Christian fellowship with some my friends, and my dog. We had a mini retreat. It included some Door County Highlander Grog coffee, pheasants, shooting shot guns, Bible time and a church service. Tomorrow I will be back on schedule.

Worry, anxiety, stress, and busyness are some of the things we go through everyday. God and His holy word though calls the Christian to act differently. We are to have peace and to rest in the promises of God. Are you needing rest and peace today? Read through these Bible verses slowly and ask God to reveal them to you. Go to God in prayer and ask him to give you rest.

Mark 6:31 - Words of Jesus
And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while." For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
Isaiah 57:1-2 - Peace
The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart; And devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from evil, He enters into peace; They rest in their beds, Each one who walked in his upright way.
Psalm 23 - He Restores our Soul

Philippians 4:6-7 - Prayer
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 4:9-11 - God also rested
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience.
