Being In the Right Place. 3/14/14

Good Morning,

Friday where have you been? I am starting this day with a cup of Door County Heavenly Caramel Coffee. I thought Friday would never get here.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be in the right place at the right time? There is a simple formula.

1. Right now you are where you are. God knows where you are.

2. Only God knows what move in life He wants you to take or not take.

3. Has He told you to make a move? No? Then don't move. Be content. Pray and read scripture. God will speak.

4. If you made a decision to move, check your priorities. This is simple. Did you look for a house first? If you did why didn't find a church first and then find a home close to the church. Your priorities are not straight.

5. Does this move have the support of your family? Double check your priorities.

Are you the leader of this idea or is God in charge. Abraham is the perfect example of being in the right place at the right time. Are you the guide or going to the land that God wants to show you?

Genesis 12

English Standard Version (ESV)

The Call of Abram

12 Now the Lord said[a] to Abram, “Go from your country[b] and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”[c]
So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan, Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak[d] of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. And Abram journeyed on, still going toward the Negeb.

It's all about God's timing.
