The Hole In Your Heart 6/23/2021

 Good Morning,

The day began with prayer, thankfulness, and a hot cup of Door County Irish Creme Coffee. Time to write.

If you were diagnosed by a cardiologist as having a hole in your heart, you wouldn't hesitate to ask how or if it could be repaired. I would bet on it. There is just something about wanting the body organ responsible for pumping blood through your veins to be as whole as whole can be.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds their wounds,.

The heart damage I wish to speak of are the holes we emotionally carry in our hearts. You might have a hole left within you from the loss of a loved one. Perhaps a parent, child, sibling or good friend might have passed on from this world and there is now a hole in your heart.

It could be the hole caused by a marriage that failed and you have been hurt. It could be a hole left by the loss of a job, or dreams that just cannot be obtained.

There could be a hole in your heart because of abuse or the fact that a parent did not protect you. You trusted a friend and they betrayed your trust. It hurt, and now there is a hole in your heart.

So today is heart surgery day for many of you who read this.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith not by sight.

So today, right where you sit and carry the burden of having that space in your heart that needs to be filled, pray by faith for God to fill that hole with more of Him. Let the love of the Holy One fill the vacancy of hurt and despair. Pray right now and believe that when God says "Call on Me and I will answer you," Jeremiah 33:3 He does just as He says He will. By faith be healed of the broken heart within.

Praying for all of you,

Marty
