Good Morning,
The day began with a cup of Door County Cherry Creme Coffee and prayer. This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Today is the last of my thoughts on how to train up a child.
Once you know how a child is bent and how they are wired, keeping them on the right track is the next chore.
1. You need to be a prayer warrior. Cover your child in prayer daily.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 Rejoice always, 17.pray without ceasing
2. Be there. They will want to quit and you can't let that happen.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up as you are doing.
3. Don't be afraid to speak up.
Acts 20:31 Therefore be alert, remembering for three years, I did not cease night or day to admonish everyone with tears.
4. Love them without conditions,
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Love is patient and kind, love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant; 5. or rude. It does not insist on his own way, it is not irritable or resentful.
Keep this in mind for the long haul. Once a parent, always a parent.
God bless,
Marty
