Best To Keep The Door Closed On Anger 6/14/2019

Good Morning,

Friday at last has arrived and I know it will fit my expectations like it always does. I just poured some Door County Hawaiian Hazelnut Coffee and it is time to write.

We all have the ability to change our moods and for some it can happen faster than a speeding bullet. Something can happen, or someone can say something that ruins a whole day. Once that happens it's like people turn off the switch of reasonable behavior and go ballistic faster than a runaway toddler in a shopping mall.

Their disposition can change from meek and mild to that of a raving lunatic and what comes forth from their mouths is just the opposite of their usual behavior leaving you wishing that their spouse or mother would wash their mouth out with soap.

Friends we all need to practice self control when it comes to anger. God has a little to say about that.

Psalm 37:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;

Do not fret—it only causes harm

James 1:19-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 [a]So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Romans 12:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

When we give in and turn off the switch of peace we venture into a land that Satan controls and it is best that we not step into the darkness of mean behavior.  Therefore it is sometimes best for us to walk away and vent our anger to the moon or the concrete driveway instead of another person. Things said in anger are never soon forgotten, they are a door best left closed..

Food or thought on this Friday

Marty
