Heavenly Dew 8/9/2017

Good Morning,

This morning finds me with much on my mind. I need to fast from coffee today, but if I were to be brewing some it would be Door County Peanut Butter Crunch.

Psalm 84:5-6Living Bible (TLB)
Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who want above all else to follow your steps. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains!

Comfort is not needed by those who are cheerful and merry. It is not needed by the lighthearted and trouble free. Comfort is one of God's most precious gifts. To experience this gift we must go down deep into depths of despair. Those in deep despair are in need of this gift from God. I have been comforted with peace beyond all measure during the darkest times of my life.

When night falls on a garden, leaves close up, and the flowers have no sunlight to hold on their petals, that is when drops of dew are formed to moisten them, and ready them for the next day. The dew only falls after the sun goes down. Even in the thickest darkness the dew comes and lands on the plants.

When despair and hopelessness gathers over the garden of our hearts and souls, God spreads His love and comfort over those who love Him. When we are weak He is strong and His grace is sufficient for us. We will all travel life's shadowed valley. But when we do, and we trust in God, fresh springs of hope and love rise to comfort us. In this we see that our sorrows and losses are turned into blessings of comfort. God is always at hand to those who are His ,to uphold and sustain them. He carries us to the next day and beyond.

Psalm 23:4New King James Version (NKJV)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

If you find yourself going through a time when it seems that daylight will never rise on your soul again. Reach out and know that God is there to comfort you and it is one of His most precious gifts.

You are loved,

Marty
