When We Curse At Someone, Who Are We Cursing ?3/25/2020

Good Morning,

My mug was just filled with Door County Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee. Today I actually warmed it up just a little more in the microwave. It seems I just need for it to be hotter than normal.

So it looks like we are all going to be cooped up together for a few weeks. So I believe that we should make a list of things we should all do to keep from offending our house mates.

Just because you aren't able to go out to work or other places, you still need to bathe.
Dress as if you were going somewhere. You can't live in your pajamas for days on end.
Ladies this is no excuse for not shaving those legs.
Men, you still need to shave the stubble.
Must I say anything about deodorant and mouthwash?

Last but not least. Watch your tongues and your language. This whole virus things is a bummer and we all have plenty of things on our minds. Tempers can flare and things can be said during an emotional outburst that will be remembered long after the virus is in check and we are back to work.

So bear with me as I apply a little bit of a stretch here. Let's take a look at cursing at others with that little problem known as the tongue.

James 3:9 With It we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.

Here is the stretch. People are not God and can never be God. But when we curse at someone and God made us all in His image, we really are cursing someone important to God. If this person is a believer in Christ the Holy Spirit dwells within this person. Now who else is being chewed out? Aren't we really cursing at God also?

We need to control our mouths before we insult someone who God made and the Holy Spirit dwells within. I would hate to be the one who calls the Holy Spirit a *******####****

Food for thought. Be civil and loving today, If you can't say something nice do say anything at all.

Marty
