Instant Replay 6/1/2017

Good Morning,

Let me pour my cup of Door County Swedish Lingonberry Tart Coffee and then I will be ready for writing.

Many professional sports have adopted the practice of instant replay for contesting a play or a referree's call of a play. It is a way for a coach or player to object. Sometimes they reverse a call with the replay. But many times they are unsuccessful in their arguments and the call stands.

God does and will make all of the tough judgement  calls. He doesn't need a review or instant replay.  He calls them the way He sees them.He doesn't hold back.  In Revelation 2:4 we hear Jesus addressing the church at Ephesus. This comes right after He compliments them for laboring for His name's sake.

"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love."  We see many churches and people who get so wrapped up in working hard  for the sake of working or developing a worship high that they forget to work on their love relationship with God. They lost the desire to build up their Spiritual high by deepening their love relationship.  For some, church has once again become a ritual. For some, worship has become entertainment. They attend church to receive a a weekly high. It doesn't last because they do it out of habit and a warm feeling, not out of love for God.

Have you lost your first love? Are you just going through the motions? If this is you, it's time to right the ship.  Take your knees to the ground and exercise your prayer life. Read the Word  and fall back in love with the Savior. Then live and love in the name of Jesus because you crave His love and want more.

Have a great day.

Marty
