Psalm 46. Be Still In The Midst Of Chaos 6/17/2017

Good Morning,

May Saturday greet you like a long lost friend and my you rekindle your relationship with some rest and relaxation. I salute Saturday with a large mug of Door County Dublin's Delight Coffee.

I choose today to write about chaos in the world and how we can look to God's Word to lead us right to Him

Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength,  This is a positive statement our place to run to,
    an ever-present help in trouble. There is never a time when God sleeps, He is always ready.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way. We have no reason  to fear.
    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, God knows when the Earth quakes.
though its waters roar and foam  He sees the surge of rivers and oceans.
    and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, God is on His throne and will always be.
    the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
    God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; His Kingdom will last forever.
    he lifts his voice, the earth melts.  He has great power.
The Lord Almighty is with us; He is as close to us as we allow Him to be.
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see what the Lord has done, Look at all that God does.
    the desolations he has brought on the earth. Fear him and serve Him with obedience.
He makes wars cease  He can bring peace to the world and individual hearts.
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields with fire. To fight with God is futile.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;  In this chaotic world we need to be quiet and listen.
    I will be exalted among the nations,  God can be trusted,
    I will be exalted in the earth.” All the earth will know and every knee will bow to Him,
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress. He saves us for eternity through Jesus Christ and no one can
                                                        snatch us from Him.
Read Psalm 46 today. Let God assure you of His presence. Let God ease any fears you have. Let Him fill the voids of loss. Take some time to rejuvenate your heart and soul.
God bless,
Marty
