Good morning facing my Monday with a cup of Door County Death's Door Coffee and some
time spent at the throne of God. It is a great combination for starting the day. My message for this Monday is short and to the point.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, perfect will of
God.
So what does that mean?
God's perfect will is that none should perish but have everlasting life. God has created two eternal homes so that no one is left homeless. He has created heaven and hell. For those who have received Jesus as Savior, heaven awaits. Well, the second part to that is for those who have not received Jesus, hell awaits.
Each day we are bombarded with the things of this Earth and choices to make. Before they take a
foothold in our life the above verse tells us to renew our minds. A backslidden Christian cannot prove the "perfect will of God" and therefore they are not real convincing when they preach Jesus.
So, daily we should pray, read our Bibles, and have someone hold us accountable for life choices. This keeps us transformed and going in the right direction.
