Planning A Bible Study For The Men 8/9/2018

Good Morning,

It seems like just a few hours ago I was getting ready for bed. My time spent sleeping must have accelerated during the night and quickened the pace. Where did the night go? Now it is time to pour a cup of Door County Chocolate Cherry Coffee and write.

Matthew 4:3-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,

Last night some of the men involved with the Men's Ministry at our church met to plan our fall Bible Study. We met at the church and prayed before we started. Our planning went well and before too long we moved on to planning our events for the year which includes our annual steak feed. In our first semester of the year we chose to get back to basics in our mining of God's Word and will be leading the men in the following study.

I am not making a product recommendation here. I just want you all to know the value I place on Bible Study and the importance of gathering together to learn. Our Bible Study always begins in prayer, ends in prayer and is never taken at too fast of a pace. The guys enjoy each others companionship and the occasional pot luck dinner. Over the years I have witnessed great spiritual growth in men and women who regularly, not only read their Bibles, but gather to study with others.

Psalm 119:105 New King James Version (NKJV) 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

Where will you be attending a Bible Study this year? It is soup for the soul.
